Our Purpose

The purpose of this chapter is to foster the highest standards of excellence in the practice of the art of embroidery through an active program of education and study and to preserve the heritage of the art of embroidery.

Our chapter is part of the South Central Region of the Embroiderers' Guild of America. We are based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Louisiana Lagniappe (LaLag) was formed in 1984. Our members have a wide variety of interests in needlework. All skill levels exist within our membership. Visitors are welcome to attend up to three events before joining. Please read our newsletter and look at our calendar for upcoming events!
