Board Meeting
October 17, 2010
Dee Cavalier called the meeting to order at 1:25 PM at her home.

The minutes of the August 28, 2010 meeting were read. The minutes were accepted as corrected by acclamation.
Arlene Carroll read the Treasurer's Report for the 3rd Quarter of 2010. It was approved.
Old Business:
- The web page bill has been paid.
- DeAnn Cataldie's ornament will be our program exchange ornament for this year.
- There were no nominations from the floor for Officer Elections. The slate of officers for 2011 was presented and voted into office. They are

Linda Hebert - Secretary
Arlene Carroll - Treasurer
New Business:
- The budget for 2011 was proposed by Arlene Carroll and discussed by the board. It was voted to pass any additional national dues to the membership. DeAnn Cataldie moved that the budget be accepted. Jane Major seconded the motion and the motions were approved.
- The calendar for 2011 was presented by Shawn Miller and approved by acclamation.
- The 2010 Christmas Party will be on December 4, 2010 at 5 PM at Arlene Carroll's home. Everyone should bring a stitched ornament and refreshments.
Reports:
Vice President - Shawn Miller - No Report.
Regional Representative - Shawn Miller - Shawn Miller and Jane Major attended the regional meeting. Seminar 2013 has no sponsoring chapter. If this continues then regions will sponsor Seminar and every chapter will have a specific job.
Workshop - Jane Major - No Report.
Membership - Judi Allen - No change in the membership. We have 33 primary members and 2 plural members.
Education - DeAnn Cataldie - No Report.
Community Outreach-Habitat - Joan White - Joan did not attend but Arlene Carroll passed out some samplers that needed to be finished and returned to her by 10/29/10.
Thursday AIG - Arlene Carroll - We will need a new Thursday AIG. We will continue with the Hardanger Coaster in November.
Saturday AIG - Shawn Miller - We will have no meetings until January when we will start Rainforest Crunch.
Hospitality - We had no hospitality last quarter.
